Bus Driver Appreciation Week is Oct. 21-25. This is a great time to thank your bus driver, give them a gift, a snack, cold drink, draw a picture, or make a card. Take time over the weekend to come up with a way to recognize them next week. We want to thank all of our drivers for getting our students to school and home safely each day.

The Toombs County Health Dept. is offering flu shots.

LUES FAMILY FOCUS: READING STRATEGIES
Create a Reading Nook: Create a comfortable and well-lit reading nook at home. Fill it with a variety of appropriately leveled books, magazines, and other reading materials. A cozy space can encourage independent reading!

5th grade students in Mrs. Larsen's and Mrs. Reese's math classes played a Find Someone Who game Fall Break/Hurricane edition. They enjoyed sharing their good and bad experiences with each other. We heard many positives such as family time, nobody injured, and watching the linemen get the electricity back on. The overall negative was no internet or cell service for quite a few days so no video games or social media. It was good to see the students back today! #toombsstrong #5thgradersarethebest

The 3rd Grade Backyard S'mores Raffle has been extended. Please return all money and sold tickets by Oct. 24th. The drawing will be held on Oct. 25th.
Tickets are $2.00 each and proceeds will benefit the 3rd grade class.
