🍫 In 3rd grade math, students are exploring multiplication strategies and learning how arrays can help find a product. Students from Mrs. Hollie Braddy's class designed their own Chocolate Boxes by arranging 12 chocolates into different arrays. This hands-on activity helped students build and visualize their understanding of arrays! ✏️🍫

🍎🍊 Math in Action: Market Day! 🥕🍓
Our 3rd grade students are putting their multiplication strategies to work! During our Market Day, students recorded their partners’ orders for fruit sold in bags (groups). They identified the number of bags and how many pieces of fruit were in each bag to find the product. Students then determined their partners’ total order. Our teachers are giving students the opportunity to practice using multiplication strategies in a real-world context! ✏️➗🍎
Learning + collaboration + hands-on practice = math that makes sense! 💙

Mrs. Wommacks & Mrs. H. Braddy's classes completed bakery stations on Friday using multiplication strategies. Making real life connections is not only engaging, but helps students see the importance of math.
