Congratulations to our top AR point winners for our Read Across America AR contest! Our students earned a combined 937.4 AR points just this week alone!! The top student in each grade won a Chick-fil-A gift card and a book coin for our book vending machine. The top class in the school won a free ice cream.

3rd grade top teacher: Mrs. Kennedy's classes earned 92.6 point
4th grade top teacher: Mrs. Martin's classes earned 43.2 points
5th grade top teacher: Mrs. Richter's classes earned 322.6 points

The top 3rd grade student with the most points is Payton Harden with 6.5 points in Mrs. Craft's class. The top 4th grade student with the most points is Addison Davis with 11.2 points in Mrs. Martin's class. The top 5th grade student with the most points is Hank Warden with 47.1 points in Mrs. Richter's class. The class with the most points in the school is Mrs. Richter's afternoon class; they earned a total of 294.6 points! Congratulations everyone! #shine #READ #RAA

Toombs County Students Named District Winners in Young Georgia Authors Contest

The Toombs County School District has announced its FY26 Young Georgia Authors (YGA) District Level Winners, recognizing outstanding student writing across all grade levels.

Students from Toombs Central Elementary School, Lyons Upper Elementary School, Toombs County Middle School, and Toombs County High School were selected as district winners for their exceptional original works. Entries will now advance to the First District RESA (FDRESA) for the next round of judging.

This year’s winners include:
